Transitions

Transitions can be hard on young children.  Moving from one activity to another, especially when different behavior expectations are shifting, can be challenging.  Children seem to transition from sitting down listening to a story to standing up and singing or moving very easily.  However, moving from the action song to sitting again for another story can be challenging.  I have two songs/rhymes I use on a regular basis that seem to help with the transition back to sitting and listening.

Here are three of my favorite transition songs/rhymes
