Mmmmm!  I love the letter M!!  To eat it!!  Muffins, milk, macaroni, meat!  To play with!!  Marbles, magnets, magic, mud, mazes!  To look at!!  Moon, mountains, maps!!  And to listen to!!  Music!

Other great M words: mittens, morning, mouse, monkey, monster, movies, mouth, mother, moose, mole, mirror, middle, mermaid, maze, mail, mailbox, mailman.  This is a great letter with lots of fun books and activities to accompany it!

Together at Christmas  by Eileen Spinelli; illustrated by Bin Lee (2012)
[I did not end up reading this one...but if you have a group of kids that sit and listen well, this is a sweet book about mice at Christmas]
Songs/Fingerplays/Rhymes

I am a Musician
(tune: "Here we go 'round the Mulberry Bush")

This is the way I play the piano,
Play the piano, play the piano.
This is the way I play the piano.
I am a musician!

Additional Verses:  Any musical instrument
I used trombone, trumpet, tuba, clarinet, flute, violin, drums

Five Little Monkeys

5 little monkeys jumping on the bed
1 fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

Continue counting down until all the monkeys have fallen.

Little Miss Muffet

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on her tuffet
Eating her curds and whey
Along came a spider
And sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away!
