Stormy Weather

A few weeks ago we were having rainy, stormy weather.  Of course by the time I got this storytime ready is warm and sunny!  I had a mixed bag of kids todays--preschool to young toddlers--so it wasn't a super successful storytime.  I should have stopped after two books.  Or not have done the longer "May I Come In?".

May I Come In?

A Good Day for Ducks

Goats Storytime

I didn't start out planning to create a Goat Storytime, so I was actually surprised I found enough good books for a whole storytime!

Books

Greedy Goat
by Petr Horacek

Through with the Zoo
by Jacob Grant

Goats
by Kate Riggs

Songs and Movement

Bread and Butter, Marmalade and Jam

The Goats Came Marching One by One
The goats came marching one by one, hurrah! Hurrah!
The goats came marching one by one, hurrah! Hurrah!
The goats came marching one by one,
The little one stopped…to bask in the sun.

The goats came marching two by two, hurrah! Hurrah!
The goats came marching three by three, hurrah! Hurrah!
Then they all came marching, over the rickety bridge.
The goats came marching two by two, hurrah! Hurrah!
The goats came marching two by two,
The little one stopped…to look at the view.

Then they all came marching, over the rickety bridge.
The goats came marching three by three, hurrah! Hurrah!
The goats came marching three by three,
The little one stopped…to sit by a tree.
Then they all came marching, over the rickety bridge…
Rickety bridge!
