Q is for...

Although the letter Q is challenging...I have found a few books/songs/activities I enjoy doing with this letter.  Quack and quiet are two great q words that work well for storytime.

I Like Qq   (from Mrs. Jones)

Q is for queen with a crown on her head,
Q is for quilt that covers my bed.
Q is for questions that I like asking,
Q is for ducklings' quack-quack-quacking.
Q is for quarter and quick and quill,
I like Q and I always will.

Five Little Ducks
(Traditional)
Five little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away
When the mother duck called,
"Quack, quack, quack, quack"
Four little ducks came waddling back.

Four little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away
When the mother duck called,
"Quack, quack, quack, quack"
Three little ducks came waddling back.

Three little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away
When the mother duck called,
"Quack, quack, quack, quack"
Two little ducks came waddling back.

Two little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away
When the mother duck called,
"Quack, quack, quack, quack"
One little duck came waddling back.

One little duck went out to play
Over the hills and far away
When the mother duck called,
"Quack, quack, quack, quack"
No little ducks came waddling back.

But when the daddy duck called,
"QUACK, QUACK, QUACK!"
Five little ducks came waddling back!

Jack Be Nimble
Jack be nimble
Jack be quick
Jack jump over the candlestick!
