4:00 Children begin arriving with their stuffed animals. They pick up their registration form and fill in information about themselves and their stuffed animal. (We did ask families to preregister...which was helpful so we knew about how many to plan on and we were able to call and remind them.)
4:10 As children finish their registration forms they get their picture taken with their stuffed animal. Mrs. B set up this station with a starry backdrop.
4:15 Children can make a necklace and/or bracelet for their stuffed animal to wear.
4:30 Storytime with Mrs. B
4:45 Children say "good night" and "good-bye" to their stuffed animals. Here's where they left them...
5:00 The Stuffed Animal Sleepover officially begins!!
First, the stuffed animals have a yummy dinner of pizza!!
Then they play some games, such as chess, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and Twister.
They found some fun places to hang out in the library and had fun exploring.
After playing it was time for a bedtime snack--of graham crackers and goldfish crackers.
For a special surprise we took them out into the parking lot to watch a fireworks display. Some didn't like the loud noises, so we gave them extra cuddles!
By now it was very late, so we had a quick bedtime story before getting tucked in for the night.
8:00 AM I had 432 pictures from the sleepover ready to put into the stuffed animal's keepsake scrapbook! Thankfully the stuffed animals were still asleep while Mrs. B and I compiled their scrapbooks!
10:00 AM The first stuffed animals get picked up. Boy, were they happy to see the kids!!
Each page of the scrapbook had a brief sentence or two describing the sleepover...a great way to motivate children to read and practice reading! Here is a mother reading the book to her son when they picked up his stuffed animal.

Did you prep the books before hand and then just insert the pictures the following morning? I am getting ready to host my first sleepover and trying to streamline the process!
Yes, I printed and bound the books before hand. This really helped streamline the production of the books. It also helped us know which pictures to take of each stuffed animal and how many pictures to print. Hope your stuffed animal sleepover goes good!
Hello! I love the look of your memory book for this event! I was wondering if you I could get a copy of the PDF or if you sell it anywhere? We are hosting our first sleepover (PTO for an elementary school) in a couple of weeks and could use all the help we can get. Thank you!
Hi Sarena! I'm sorry I'm late responding to you. Unfortunately I did this program at a library I no longer work at, so I don't have a PDF of the booklet. I hope your stuffed animal sleepover went well!
