Elephants--November 2

Today's theme for Picture Book Month is elephants.  I just love baby elephants...they are so darn adorable!!  This is one that I have used in storytime a few times:

I've Got an Elephant 

by Anne Ginkel; illustrated by Janie Bynum

This rhyming, counting book describes what the girl's elephants do while she away.  Each day the elephants get bored and so they go out and bring home another elephant friend!  Soon she has ten elephants living with her!   A fun, imaginative book to share with children.  It lends itself nicely to talking--including prediction, rhyming, and repetition.  What would you do with ten elephants?!
